Distinguished Award for Novel Materials and their Synthesis
This award was established in 2009. Every year it will be awarded to 2 participants by Organization Committee of IUPAC Novel Materials and their Synthesis (IUPAC NMS) during the banquet of the symposium/conference. They should have contributed a lot of in the field of novel materials. One is from academic and the other is from engineering. Of course, kind suggestions or recommendation will be warmly welcomed.

Winners
2009: Prof. Makoto Shimizu from Mie University, Japan. His main citation is: Exploring new synthetic methodologies of new functional materials and their application.
     Dr. Klaus Kurz from Ticona GmbH, Germany. His main citation is: Push simple polymers step by step into practical application.

 

IUPAC Prof. Jiang Novel Materials Youth Prize
It was established in 2010 and signed by Prof. Jiang and Dr. John W. Jost, Representative of IUPAC. It will be awarded to 2 candidates every odd year in Shanghai Conference during banquet. Application is to be done one year before.
